The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is a robust mid-size SUV produced by Mitsubishi Motors under the Pajero nameplate since 1996. Based on the Triton pickup truck, this body-on-frame vehicle has undergone three generations of upgrades and enhancements. It's important to note that the Pajero Sport differs from the full-size Pajero, as it has been built on a unibody chassis since 1999 and was discontinued in 2021. Initially known as the Mitsubishi Challenger in Japan and some global markets, the name was eventually changed to Pajero Sport from the third generation onwards, aligning with the Montero Sport and Shogun Sport monikers.
