Daihatsu, a well-known automotive brand, has been making waves in the industry for over six decades. Established back in 1907 by two imaginative Japanese entrepreneurs, Hatsud?ki Seizo Co., Ltd (later renamed as Daihatsu) had humble beginnings as a manufacturer of internal combustion engines. The founders - Kan'ichiro Okura and Edward A. Frazer - set out on a mission to bring quality automobiles to the masses. In 1930, Daihatsu unveiled its very first car named the "Model A," which graced the roads with elegance and style. However, it wasn't until post-World War II that they truly gained global recognition when they introduced their most popular car model to date: the compact and efficient "Midget." This microcar became an instant hit due to its affordable price tag and suitability for dense urban areas. Though faced with several ups-and-downs throughout their history, including financial struggles at times or decisions regarding mergers like adopting Toyota as its parent company in 1967 – these challenges didn't deter Daihatsu from persevering. Instead, they continued blooming alongside other successful models such as Feroza/Sportrak SUVs known for their off-road capabilities.
