Visit Ripley Valley Car Show and Shine to browse a collection of vehicles on display and entered into judging categories. This inaugural car show welcomes families and car enthusiasts of all ages. Owners wishing to enter their vehicle should arrive between 6:30am and 7:30am for registration and parking. The event opens to the public from 8am to 11am. Category winners will be announced between 10:30am and 11am. A coffee van will be on site. The P&C will operate a breakfast BBQ and serve cold drinks. # All-Asian Day at Lakeside Park Lakeside Park Raceway hosts All-Asian Day, a celebration of Asian-built vehicles. The event features over five hours of track cruises, a Show 'n' Shine display, and entertainment for the whole family. ## Entry Prices Spectators: $10 (children under 12 free) Cruise sessions: $20 each VIP package: $150 (or $175 on the day if available) ## What's Included The event runs on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no pre-entry for display cars or cruise participants except through a VIP package. **Spectator Entry**, Pay at the gate. Free parking is available outside the track. **Show 'n' Shine and Cruises**, Drive through the tunnel to enter your vehicle. Up to 11 cruise sessions run throughout the day, with a maximum of 100 cars per session. Each cruise lasts 20 minutes. You can join multiple sessions but not back-to-back. Tickets are sold at the white container on the day only. A driver briefing is required before you can drive on track. **VIP Package**, Pre-book for $150 or purchase on the day for $175 (if available). You receive exclusive track entry, free gate admission for four people, a covered pit bay, infield access, Show 'n' Shine entry, and two reserved cruise sessions. ## Requirements All vehicles must be road registered and in clean, presentable condition. For cruise participants: - Current driver's licence required. Must be 18 or older (no learner permits) - Noise limit: 95DB maximum. No modified or straight-pipe exhausts - Enclosed footwear required - No burnouts - 10km/h speed limit in pit lane - Zero alcohol for all drivers and passengers - Seat belts must be worn - Vehicle weight cannot exceed 3 tonnes - Attendance at driver briefing is mandatory - Do not exit the vehicle while on track Breaching these rules will result in removal from the event.

Lakeside Park Cortina Day The Queensland Cortina Owners Club, a not-for-profit group, is hosting a half-day event at Lakeside Park on 29 August 2026. The program includes a show and shine, family cruises, roll racing, and 1/8th mile racing. All classic cars are welcome to enter the show and shine. Trophies will be awarded, thanks to major sponsor Repco Max Logan City. Pricing will be announced once sponsorship details are finalised. The club is working to keep entry costs affordable for all participants. Mark the date in your calendar.

Krome Rock & Rods takes place at the Laidley Showgrounds on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August. This two-day Show & Shine event celebrates pre-1980 vehicles including classic cars, vintage cars, American muscle cars, and hot rods. The event features a rockabilly theme with live entertainment, prizes, and trophies. Vehicle registration opens at 6:30am each day. Award presentations happen Saturday from 12pm to 12:30pm and Sunday from 11am to 11:30am. Entry costs $20 for one day or $30 for both days. Each driver entry covers one vehicle. Adult spectators pay $20 per day or $30 for the weekend. Children aged 10 and above are $10 daily or $15 for the weekend. Children under 10 enter free. Eliminators Hot Rod and American Car Club presents their annual Swap Meet and Show n Shine. The event takes place at Beenleigh Showgrounds on Sunday, 13 September 2026. The swap meet begins at 6am. The show n shine starts at 8am, with display vehicles welcome from 6am. The event wraps up around 1pm. Expect over 400 hot rods, muscle cars, classics, customs, pickups and motorbikes on display. All makes and models are welcome, whether new or old. More than 20 custom trophies will be awarded for outstanding vehicles. Admission and fees: $5 per person. Kids under 12 are free. Vehicle entry to the show n shine area is free. Judging for trophies costs $5 per vehicle. Swap meet site entry is $10. Trade stands are $50. No booking required. Pay at the gate as you arrive. Vehicle judging fees are paid at the administration tent on the oval. A licensed bar opens at 10am (no outside drinks allowed). Live blues rock band Pete Black and the Lonesome Crows will perform. This event supports the Family and Kids Care Foundation in Logan and the Logan SES. Last year, proceeds included $8000 donated to the foundation and $2000 to the SES. The event takes place at Gold Coast Tavern for a full day of live performances, DJ sets, vintage cars, custom automobiles, marketplace stalls, dance lessons and pin-up entertainment. Rock and roll music plays continuously throughout the day. The festival welcomes hot rod fans, music lovers, families and anyone interested in vintage culture and nostalgia. The event features multiple activities and attractions throughout the weekend. Cooly Rocks On returns 9 to 13 June 2027 in Coolangatta. This five-day festival celebrates classic cars, vintage culture, and music from past decades. The event features over 900 classic cars on display. Live entertainment includes swing, rock 'n' roll, and rockabilly performances throughout the festival. A Pin-up Pageant is also part of the program. Activities and attractions are spread across the venue, offering something for all visitors. Pontiac enthusiasts are invited to mark a century of the brand in Queensland. This year marks 100 years since the first Pontiac appeared at the RNA Exhibition in Brisbane in 1926. The static display takes place on Sunday, August 9 from 10am to noon. Display vehicles can arrive from 8am. Enter via Scarborough Road on the western side of Redcliffe Showgrounds.
