The Tata Telcoline is a mid-size pickup truck manufactured by Tata Motors, an Indian automaker, since 1988. Originally named the Tatamobile 206 in India, it was later rebranded as the Tata 207 DI in 2002 and sold under various names like Tatamobile, Tata Loadbeta, or Tata Pick Up in export markets. The first generation of the Tata Telcoline was introduced in July 1988 as the Tatamobile 206. It was designed and engineered by Telco (Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company) as Tata Motors' first light commercial vehicle following the heavy-duty Tata 407. The pickup was developed in just two years and achieved significant success in the Indian market, selling over 61,000 examples in the initial model years. By 1990, Tata Motors had secured 25% of the market share in the light commercial vehicle segment with the Tatamobile 206. Key points: 1.
