The company's foray into the Indian market began with a significant commitment when the Renault-Nissan Alliance inked a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Tamil Nadu in February 2008. This agreement paved the way for the establishment of a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located in Oragadam near Chennai.
