The Koenigsegg Agera R was produced from 2011 to 2014 as a high-performance variant of the Agera lineup, positioned above the base Agera with upgrades oriented toward maximum power output and track capability. It ran on E85 biofuel or a flex-fuel combination, which allowed its twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 to produce in excess of 1,100 horsepower, a meaningful step beyond the standard car. The R variant also introduced a package of aerodynamic and chassis refinements, including an active rear wing and revised suspension components, reinforcing its role as the track-focused interpretation of the Agera platform. A single bespoke example, the Agera R Zijin, was produced during this generation's run, demonstrating Koenigsegg's willingness to build highly individualized commissions within an already limited production run.
