Rebadged Suzuki Alto. The Daewoo Tico, a compact city car, was manufactured by the South Korean automaker Daewoo between 1991 and 2001. Based on the 1988 Suzuki Alto kei car, it featured a three-cylinder 796 cc S-TEC engine, a modified version of the Suzuki F8B engine. The vehicle was available with a choice of a five-speed manual transmission or a three-speed automatic transmission, exclusive to the South Korean market.
Despite its small size, the Daewoo Tico gained popularity in European countries, particularly in Eastern Europe where it was well-received. In Latin American markets, the car was marketed under the name Daewoo Fino. The Tico's success in these
