The Cupra Tavascan is a battery-electric coupe-SUV that entered production in 2024 as the brand's second dedicated electric model, sitting above the Born in the lineup and targeting the performance-oriented crossover segment. It is built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, shared with mechanically related models across the group, and is produced at SAIC's factory in China for global markets. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant produces around 340 hp, with a rear-wheel-drive single-motor version also available at lower output figures. The Tavascan is notable for translating the brand's 2019 concept car of the same name into a production reality with relatively faithful styling, including a fastback roofline and full-width lighting signatures front and rear.
