The Chevrolet Captiva is a compact crossover SUV manufactured by General Motors. The first generation of the Captiva was developed by GM Korea and was based on the GM Theta platform, which was inspired by the S3X concept car showcased in 2004. Initially launched in 2006, the vehicle was known as the Chevrolet Captiva globally, Holden Captiva in Australia and New Zealand, and Daewoo Winstorm in South Korea until 2011, when it adopted a universal name.
