The Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a full-size sport-utility vehicle manufactured by General Motors, positioned as the smallest in GM's lineup of full-size SUVs within the C/K truck series. Originally introduced in 1969 and part of Chevrolet's offerings until 1995, the K5 Blazer eventually gave way to the Chevrolet Tahoe. In 1970, GMC released its own version of the K5 Blazer, named the Jimmy, as a nod to the phonetic similarity to GM and in a strategic move similar to Jeep's association with GP in the market.
