Introduced with the 2012 LCI update, the F02 750Li Steptronic replaced the pre-facelift 750Li and brought a revised N63TU V8 engine with output raised to 449 hp and 650 Nm, paired with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic driving the rear wheels. The power increase over the pre-2012 car cuts 0.5 seconds from the 0-100 km/h time, bringing it to 4.8 seconds despite the long-wheelbase body. The updated gearbox improved both performance and fuel efficiency compared to the earlier six-speed unit.
